How to Find a Good Partner
When it comes to dating and relationships and even marriage. Do you ever wonder how certain people end up with others and how some seem to be inseparable while others can hardly make it to the next day. Well it’s no secret that some people just keep meeting the wrong people.
But truth be told many people are not sure what a healthy partner looks like, or how a “good man” (or woman) should act towards their partner. To help clarify, I have put together this list of how a good man should act while in a relationship.
1) A good Partner will always support you.
But It doesn’t mean they will always agree. Regardless of whether you want to go back to school to get your Master’s degree, open a juice bar or stay at home to raise a family, a good partner will always support you and what you want out of your life. ThEy wont discourage you or make you feel as though you can’t do what you set out to do. He will be beside you every step of the way, cheering on your victories and comforting you during your defeats.
But that doesn’t t mean that you should just do what you want when you want without talking it out.
2) A good partner is always trying to improve themselves. Whether it be learning new things, developing a new skill set, reading a new book or watching a documentary, a good partner who prides themself on continuous self improvement will always be intellectually challenging you and keeping your attention. They will be doing these things for themself, but the added benefit will be the positive impact it has on your relationship.
3) A good partner will stand by you. When your partner commits their love and their time to you, there are no stipulations or circumstances required. There will be good times and there will be not-so-good times. There will be challenges and unexpected situations that arise. But they will stay by your side and be your teammate through it all.
4). With A good partner you will feel comfortable being honest. Communication in a relationship (the good kind, not the kind that makes you stop trying) comes from the ability to be open and honest with your partner — and the ability to do this comes from knowing you will never be judged. A good partner will encourage you to open up and share your feelings with them.
5) They don’t keep Bring up your past. A good partner puts the past in perspective and doesn’t constantly bring up reminders from the past that you have told them and serve no valuable purpose in the present. A good partner won’t use things you told them about your past against you. Such as something their partner did months or years earlier. Be careful of those who use your past as weapons against you.
